At high temperatures(above approximately 573℃),alpha quartz undergoes a crystal transformation,transforming into beta quartz.However,during the cooling process,β-quartz may transform back intoα-quartz again.This transformation process may cause volume changes in quartz crystals within quartz ceramic products,resulting in stress and cracks,which naturally pose a hazard.
